Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our wind farm portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient execution of site activities and accurate recording of site performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and monitoring activities across the power producing fleet
  • Ensuring compliance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)
  • Providing transfer control of wind turbine generator plant and/or LV apparatus
  • Updating real-time energy trading related IT systems
  • Producing reports from complex data sets
  • Maintaining accurate records of site performance

You will also be responsible for:

  • Leading the day-to-day work control of the wind farm portfolio
  • Remote resetting of wind turbine faults to maximise energy capture
  • Monitoring weather forecasts and issuing alerts
  • Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Acting as emergency contact and initiating appropriate response procedures in emergencies

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or customer service experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SCADA systems, including Zond's systems and Siemens, Gamesa, Vestas, Nordex, Enercon and GE SCADA knowledge
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and focus attention for long periods
