Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team at BDO Australia.
As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of M&A projects, including sell-side and buy-side advisory, and building strong client relationships.
You will have developed deal experience and knowledge across various industries, including technology and manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing engagements, including preparing pitch documents, company valuations, and financial models.
- Working closely with the M&A team to develop strategies and business development initiatives.
- Representing the firm at marketing events and staying up-to-date with the firm's services.
- Contributing to the BDO M&A national team's activities.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with solid work experience in corporate finance, preferably in a professional services environment.
You should have a strong work ethic and be passionate about adding value.
Key qualifications include:
- Direct experience with M&A and/or investment analysis.
- Background in a leading accounting or boutique advisory firm, private equity, investment banking, or industry corporate development roles.
- CA and/or CFA qualifications or similar.
- High-level communication and presentation skills, including writing and research skills.
- Financial modelling skills.
