Position Summary
We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance and Gardening Specialist to become part of our team. This role is vital in maintaining our facilities, equipment, and outdoor areas to ensure they meet the highest standards in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine upkeep tasks on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Manage landscaping, gardening, and general outdoor maintenance.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify and rectify maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all tasks.
- Address maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to build effective working relationships.
- Utilize a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Possess basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Demonstrate physical capability to carry out manual labor and operate maintenance equipment.
- Hold a valid NSW Drivers Licence (Manual & Automatic).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one.
- Working at Heights Certification or willingness to pursue.
- Chemical Handling Certification.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be eligible to work in Australia and be prepared to undergo a criminal record check and NDIS Check as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
