At Camilla Australia, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Buying Tribe. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of drop schedules and stock deliveries for national and international markets.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Liaise with wholesale partners to ensure orders are handed over within deadlines.
  • Monitor the critical path and communicate any changes or potential delays to relevant team members or suppliers to minimize disruption.
  • Manage samples to ensure they are on time and ready for ranging.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all data entered.
  • Collaborate with Garment Technicians to resolve quality and delivery issues.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on critical path follow-through and pricing.
  • Embody the Camilla values and strive to be the best version of yourself with a One Tribe attitude.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with offshore suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of fabric, components, construction, and manufacturing of apparel and swimwear is desirable.
  • Knowledge of specs and grading is essential.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role in a buying position is ideal.
  • Relevant degree qualification is required.
