Opportunity exists to contribute culturally sensitive mental health care services for Indigenous clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally appropriate guidance in assessment and treatment planning for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people receiving care from the Cultural Healing Program, Continuing Care Team, Mental Health Services.
  • Offer cultural support, guidance and advocacy to consumers/families/carers and other stakeholders involved with a person's care.
  • Contribute to Closing the Gap Key Performance Indicators as part of Queensland Health's effort to close the gap in health outcomes for Indigenous Queenslanders.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and with patients/clients.
