The Australian Catholic University (ACU) is a publicly funded institution with a strong academic reputation. Our Faculty of Theology and Philosophy is the largest of its kind in Australia, comprising two national schools and several research institutes.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our faculty as an Executive Dean. As a seasoned leader and scholar, you will be responsible for delivering all elements of academic activity, including strategic planning, teaching, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive excellence in teaching, research, and service across the faculty's schools and research institutes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow enrolments and maintain our pre-eminent position nationally and internationally.
  • Cultivate research collaborations with government, industry, and academic partners to advance our university's mission and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in theology or philosophy.
  • Proven leadership experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Strong research profile and ability to attract funding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
