Melba Support Services, a well-established not-for-profit organisation, is recruiting for Casual Disability Support Workers to join their team in Ballarat.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, including those with disabilities, and provide support that enables them to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality services, promoting personal choice and control, and upholding human rights.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualised support plans based on the needs, preferences, and interests of supported persons.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and household duties.
  • Aid individuals to access community events, appointments, and other activities that promote social participation.
  • Promote personal autonomy and empowerment through ongoing support and education.

Requirements

  • Degree or certification in disability support, aged care, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with people with disabilities, either professionally or personally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and Australian Driver's License.
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR.
