Job Opportunity: Software Engineer - Cloud-Native Systems

We are seeking a talented System Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software components related to Java runtimes and tooling.

Your primary focus will be on collaborating with distributed teams to select, integrate, and package best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu to enhance the developer and operator experience with Java Runtimes, frameworks, and applications.

  • Create new features and debug issues to produce high-quality code that fixes them.
  • Review code produced by other engineers and discuss ideas to find good solutions.
Key Requirements:
  • You have relevant experience with Java Runtimes and its ecosystem, preferably in cloud-native software and Linux.
  • You have expertise in packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • You are an experienced Linux user.
  • You hold an undergraduate degree in a technical subject or can provide a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
  • You love technology and working with brilliant people.
  • You possess exceptional academic credentials from both high school and university.
