Program Director for Learner Driver Mentorship

We are seeking a seasoned facilitator and coach to lead our learner driver mentorship program in Cloncurry or Mount Isa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, growth, and delivery of the program.

Job Description:
  • Driving Simulator Operations: Schedule sessions, maintain hardware/software, design training scenarios, and capture progress data.
  • Program Leadership & Delivery: Plan and deliver program targets, calendars, and lesson schedules. Maintain a Safety Management Plan with clear risk controls for on-road lessons.
  • Volunteer/Mentor Recruitment, Training & Rostering: Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteer mentors; deliver induction and refreshers.
  • Participant Intake, Lesson Planning & Progress Tracking: Manage referrals and intake; complete baseline assessments and lesson plans.
  • Facilities & Logistics: Manage the simulator lab, schedule simulator sessions, manage room bookings, keys, and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience coordinating programs/rosters, volunteers, or logistics in a community setting.
  • Communication: Clear, compassionate communicator who builds trust with young people, families, and mentors.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and admin skills; comfortable with spreadsheets, calendars, and CRM/databases.
  • Licence: Open (manual preferred) driver licence, held for 12+ months (longer strongly preferred).
  • Certification: Current Blue Card (Working with Children), NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR, National Police Check.
