Job Title: Mechanical Fitter And Turner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter and Turner to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing and production facilities, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on timber and bakery machinery
  • Ensuring the installation and maintenance of new plant and equipment
  • Developing improvements and enhancements for existing machinery and production processes
  • Maintaining accurate job sheets and records for all work completed
  • Providing technical support to operational teams to optimise efficiency
  • Liaising with managers and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules and prevent mechanical breakdowns
  • Designing and manufacturing special aids and jigs to assist in production processes
  • Maintaining compliance with safety standards
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter and Turner with strong experience in plant and equipment maintenance. You will have a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, along with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Other essential skills and attributes include:

  • Trade qualification in Fitting and Turning or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across facilities
