Aboriginal Education Officer Position
">This position is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Indigenous students. As an Aboriginal Education Officer, you will be working closely with families and the wider community to ensure every student has the chance to thrive academically and personally.
">The role involves building strong connections with First Nations families and welcoming new families into the school community. You will also support the development and implementation of Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), promote and celebrate Aboriginal culture across the whole school, and provide cultural, educational, and pastoral support to students.
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to the philosophy and values of Catholic Education, including social justice, equity, and reconciliation. You will also need to have sound skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as experience in engaging families and community, including in challenging situations.
">You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of their students and their world. The Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst is seeking dynamic staff who are committed to promoting and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture within the school.

About You:
">We are looking for someone who has confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage, a strong commitment to the philosophy and values of Catholic Education, and sound skills in literacy and numeracy. You will also need to have experience in engaging families and community, including in challenging situations, and knowledge of educational issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
