Your RoleThis is a part-time, office-based role (approximately 3 days per week) with opportunities to pick up extra hours as needed. Your role will be to support the ATO Compliance Coordinator with various tasks, including regular liaison with the ATO regarding lodgments, deferrals, and extensions (BAS/IAS).
You will also be responsible for supporting and communicating with Accountants and Directors regarding ATO matters, processing ATO Mail & Reports, reviewing and verifying yearly land tax assessments, identifying and implementing efficiencies in ATO compliance workflows, and monitoring incoming emails and supporting the business with new client queries.
About You- We are seeking an individual with minimum 2 years of experience in administration or compliance, preferably with exposure to tax and accounting firm operations.
- A degree or TAFE qualification in business, business administration, or a similar field is ideal.
- You should be tech-savvy and confident using digital tools and platforms to optimise workflows, with familiarity with MyGov and ATO Mate software a plus.
- As a process-oriented individual, you should be skilled at understanding, following, and refining processes for improved efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building strong client relationships.
- Attention to detail is crucial, with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all tasks and processes.
