Key Responsibilities:
  • Review taxable income calculations for managed investment schemes, superannuation funds, life and insurance companies, and listed investment companies.
  • Assist Tax Accountants under supervision with training, coaching, and development.
  • Ensure deliverables to clients are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Resolve client and audit queries in a timely manner.
  • Perform testing of templates and processes.
  • Standardise procedures and tax services documentation.
  • Conduct formal supervision and controlled self-assessment testing.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience within the Australian financial services industry.
  • Extensive tax compliance experience, ideally pertaining to managed investment schemes, insurance, and superannuation funds.
  • Qualified Accountant/Tax specialist qualifications.
  • Demonstrated history of managing clients and auditors at year-end.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Our client is a leading global financial institution seeking a Team Lead to join their Tax department. This role will report directly to the department head and contribute to the high-quality delivery of reporting and calculation services.

This role requires 5+ years' experience in financial services and extensive tax compliance experience, ideally pertaining to managed investments, trusts, insurance, and superannuation.
