We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Systems Engineer to join our federal environment in Canberra, ACT.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid position that combines infrastructure engineering with security expertise to shape cyber defence systems through expert assessment, integration, and design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of various systems and configurations for cyber security vulnerabilities.
  • Run technical workshops and apply security assessment tools.
  • Develop remediation recommendations for identified cyber security issues.
  • Apply cyber security and privacy principles in system integration and design.
You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of cyber security experience, with strong skills in threat analysis and countermeasure design.
  • Proficiency in security system design tools and techniques.
  • Ability to write code in a supported programming language (e.g. Java, C++).
  • Experience assessing security controls using frameworks such as CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance or above.
