Old Age Psychiatry Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist in old age psychiatry to fill this challenging and rewarding role.

The Role

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in psychiatric practice and extensive experience in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of old age psychiatry.

Key responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, contributing to multidisciplinary teams, and participating in professional development activities.

Candidates with certification in old age psychiatry are preferred, although consideration may be given to general adult psychiatrists with relevant experience.

The hospital's Mental Health Service Inpatient Unit and Older Persons Inpatient Unit provide comprehensive care for patients with complex needs.

Requirements
  • Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia;
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent;
