Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Spinal Life Corporate. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with spinal cord damage and other physical disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prescribe and trial assistive technology, including manual and power wheelchairs, pressure reduction cushions, hoists, and slings.
  • Write reports for funding bodies to support the purchase of equipment and assistive technology.
  • Conduct daily visits to support customers in the community.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to improve and expand our services.
  • Complete Functional Capacity Assessments, applications for Complex Home Modifications, Supported Independent Living, and Specialist Disability Accommodation.
  • Manage caseloads while working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience working with individuals with spinal cord damage or other physical disabilities is highly desirable.
  • High level of organisational skills to manage and coordinate caseloads.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in delivering the best possible solutions for customers.
  • Experience working in a fee-for-service environment is highly desirable.
  • Either have a current blue and yellow card or be able to apply for an NDIS workers screen + Blue card.
