Job Title:

Lead Cyber Security Operations Analyst

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. As a Lead Cyber Security Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end incident response lifecycle, developing defence tactics, techniques, and procedures, and coaching and mentoring a team of 4 which is set to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Response Management: Manage the end-to-end incident response lifecycle, from initial alert to resolution.
  • Malware Analysis: Pull apart malware and develop defence tactics, techniques, and procedures to prevent future incidents.
  • Team Coaching and Mentorship: Coach and mentor a team of 4 which is set to grow, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the SOC Manager, other teams within the Practice, and other technical operations teams to deliver quality cyber security services to our customers.
  • Junior Member Development: Mentor and coach junior members of the team, helping them to develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • On Call and Operational Rosters: Manage on call and operational rosters, ensuring that the team is adequately staffed and supported.
  • Technical Response: Lead the technical response for incidents, working closely with the team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Operational Improvement Initiatives: Identify and contribute to operational improvement initiatives, helping to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point within the SOC for technical matters, providing expert guidance and support to help resolve complex issues.
