Job Title

A network systems engineer is sought to manage network integration risks and work closely with customers to mitigate the impact on safety and capability.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in IT or Engineering and experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes. They will possess a breadth of knowledge in network engineering, including Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, as well as experience with the network development life cycle process, routing and switching systems, defence systems, Network information and event management systems, simulations and load tests, programming languages and more.

This role involves working closely with the Mission Systems Team to support ongoing management of the mission system through evaluation and assessment of network changes. The successful candidate will deliver outcomes as assigned from the relevant statements of work.

About You
  • You will be a degree-qualified professional with a strong background in IT or Engineering.
  • Experience with network engineering is essential, as well as possessing a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent level of Cisco Certification.
  • You will have a breadth of knowledge in network development life cycles, routing and switching systems, defence systems, Network information and event management systems, simulations and load tests, programming languages and more.
  • You will be friendly and engaged, with an ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and hit milestones as well as pick up new systems quickly.
