Job Summary:

This is a pivotal role in the planning and deployment of volunteer surgical teams conducting surgery with clinical partners across the Indo-Pacific region. The Medical Equipment Coordinator will develop and maintain highly collaborative relationships with colleagues, RACS Fellows, key suppliers, and clinical partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the procurement, maintenance, and distribution of medical equipment and supplies to support volunteer surgical teams
  2. Develop and maintain highly collaborative relationships with colleagues, RACS Fellows, key suppliers, and clinical partners
  3. Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are properly stored, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines
  4. Collaborate with volunteer surgical teams to identify equipment and supply needs and develop strategies to address these needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, health administration, or logistics
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field such as medical equipment coordination, supply chain management, or healthcare administration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
