Private Client Tax Senior Manager Job

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team as a Senior Manager. This is a dynamic and varied position that offers opportunities for personal and career growth.

About the Role

This role involves utilizing your technical expertise to provide front-line client service while supervising junior staff and contributing to their development. You will also engage in business development activities to help drive the growth of our practice.

  • You should hold the CTA qualification or equivalent experience, with additional qualifications like ICAEW, ACCA, or STEP being beneficial.
  • Experience in successfully managing a portfolio of private clients, reviewing self-assessment tax returns, and providing expert guidance on Personal Tax compliance work within a professional services environment.
  • A strong background in areas such as Capital Gains Tax planning, Remuneration planning, IR35, Trusts/IHT, Property income, and other relevant taxation topics.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Statutory residence test/residence issues, immigration/emigration considerations, agricultural/landed estate matters, property development, HMRC enquiries, and disclosures would be advantageous.
  • A high level of ICT literacy, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and accounting/tax software packages, particularly CCH, would be beneficial.
  • Capable of managing multiple deadlines, delegating tasks effectively, and articulating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a team player, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
