We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join our team in Ipswich. As a key member of our Private Client Tax team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line client service and supervising the work of junior staff.

Our Private Client Tax team serves a diverse range of clients including high net worth individuals and families, business owners, partnerships, company directors, land and property owners, entrepreneurs, retirees, and family trusts and estates.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and varied role that offers opportunities for personal and career development. You will draw on your strong technical expertise to provide excellent client service, supervise junior staff, and assist with their development. You will also be actively involved in business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop the work of junior staff in the Private Client Tax team
  • Provide exceptional front-line client service, drawing on your strong technical expertise
  • Assist with business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to attract new clients
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • CIA qualification (or equivalent by experience)
  • Significant experience of managing a portfolio of private clients, including reviewing self-assessment tax returns completed by junior staff
  • A solid background in all aspects of Personal Tax compliance work within a professional services environment, including capital gains tax planning, remuneration planning, IR35, trusts/IHT, and property income
  • Excellent ICT literacy, with sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and accounting/tax software packages
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and delegate work effectively within a team
  • Highly articulate and confident communicator, both orally and written
