Senior Finance Manager Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment as the Senior Finance Manager.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and support to editorial leaders, ensuring effective management of the entire Editorial cost base. This includes managing and controlling staff and content-related expenses, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, and providing insightful analysis on financial performance to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to editorial leaders, providing clear and actionable financial insights.
  • Manage and control the entire Editorial cost base, with a specific focus on staff and content-related expenses.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate financial concepts for non-finance teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
