Job Opportunity

This is a vital position, encompassing planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timelines and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, performing repairs as needed.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • Deliver proactive fire alarm system maintenance
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs
  • Follow purchase order procedures.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, promptly advising the Line Manager of findings and recommending suitable replacements.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is up-to-date at all times.
  • Inform on-site customers of any repair and maintenance issues affecting site operations.
  • Perform surveys and complete reports as required by management.
  • Undertake minor alterations and installations within individual technical competence, adhering to current specifications.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance to customer sites designated by management.
  • Attend training courses as necessary to maintain personal job skills and adapt to technical developments.
  • Comply with company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Maintain a professional image representing the company at all times, fostering good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
Financial Accountability
  • This role is responsible for logging material expenditures and purchasing.
People Management
  • This role currently supervises AMT on technical works and PPM. Building strong relationships with colleagues and customers is essential, with no direct reports.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • A minimum GCSE/Standard Grade education, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.
  • Certificate in City and Guilds Edition or 18th edition.
  • Familiarity with 3-phase electrics and its applications.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Work speed and efficiency.
  • Service call request response time.
  • PPM schedule completion within agreed timelines.
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy.
  • Client and colleague relationships and feedback.
