Job Title: Compliance Officer
About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-driven professional to join our team as a Mechanical Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies and contractors, and championing compliance knowledge across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Maintain strong relationships with key regulators and contractors, including SafeWorkSA, OTR, and external auditors;
- Develop and maintain systems and registers to ensure up-to-date compliance information;
- Collaborate with plant teams to embed a culture of compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Engineering qualifications (Trade, Diploma or Degree level) and significant experience in a heavy industrial environment;
- A sharp eye for detail and knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (e.g. CMMS, SAP) and compliance standards;
- Strong organisational, communication, and influencing skills to drive results and inspire teams;
- A commitment to safety and a passion for fostering a compliant and efficient workplace.
