Key Responsibilities

  • Underground Mining Operations Specialist
  • Perform ground support installations, decline and level development, boring development excavation profiles to specifications.
  • Install and maintain underground services ensuring optimal system functionality.
  • Collaborate with other departments for charge-up and development tasks.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and maintain high-quality work standards.
  • Lead by example in safety and environmental awareness practices.
  • Read and interpret mining instructions accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities according to established standards.
  • Direct and coordinate Jumbo Offsider/Nipper operations to maximize production efficiency and safety.

About the Candidate

  • Minimum 7 years of underground mining experience with a minimum of 2+ years as an Underground Mining Operations Specialist.
  • Security Clearance (UHL) or ability to obtain.
  • Valid manual driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of mine services and safe work procedures.
  • Excellent communication and observation skills.
  • Familiarity with Job Safety Analysis systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
