Health and Safety Expert Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety professional to lead our regional HSE strategy. The successful candidate will drive positive change in the company by providing expert advice, guidance, and support to teams and project leaders across NSW/ACT.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in complex site-based infrastructure projects and is well-versed in developing safety processes, compliance, and optimisation of Safety systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a system approach to HSE including providing accurate and timely HSE advice to stakeholders.
  • Leading the development of HSE risk management processes and facilitating their implementation and maintenance.
  • Monitoring and measuring HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Investigating incidents and nonconformities, analysing root causes and recommending mitigation strategies.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and possess strong technical skills in HSE.

You will also have tertiary qualifications with an HSE focus preferred, previous work experience within a similar industry and/or risk profile, in-depth experience in an HSE role, and HSE technical skills such as training, auditing, investigation, and learning teams.
