Job Opportunity: Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to provide in-home support to a young man, working 4 hours a day (5 days a week). This role requires strong commitment to work health and safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing companionship, manual handling, general domestic duties, travelling with residents to appointments, day programs, and outings, and social support.

  • Companionship is essential to ensure the client feels valued and connected.
  • Manual handling involves assisting with daily living activities such as personal care and mobility.
  • General domestic duties include cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Travelling with residents may involve transporting them to appointments, day programs, and outings.
  • Social support is crucial to help the client build and maintain relationships.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1+ year experience in supporting clients with disabilities.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A current FULL NSW driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Valid Police Check.
  • NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain before starting.
  • 2 contactable references.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Arabic speaking male.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include 2 years of support work experience, First Aid Certification, Working with Children Check, and Covid Vaccination certificate.
