Adelaide, South Australia EmpwrU Support Services Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Casual Position with Potential for PPT / FT Opportunities

About Us

At EmpwrU Support Services, we do more than provide support—we transform lives through care, connection, and empowerment. Rooted in deep respect and unwavering authenticity, we support people living with disability to live fully, freely, and on their own terms. We exist to help people discover what's possible—then walk with them as they get there.

Our team culture is grounded in kindness, curiosity, professionalism, and purpose. We work with intent. We show up fully. We celebrate our clients and one another.

Purpose of the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll play a critical role in delivering person-centred, meaningful, and flexible support to participants of the NDIS. Your focus is to empower, not direct; to enable, not rescue; to walk beside each person as they live, grow, and thrive in their own way.

You will work across a variety of settings, including in-home support, community access, mentoring, fitness and life skill development.

Who You Are

You're a reliable, proactive, heart-led human who takes real pride in making someone else's day better. You're not here for a "job"—you're here for impact.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for values-aligned people who want to do meaningful work with heart and purpose. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of professionalism, passion, and curiosity. More specifically, you'll bring:

  • A passionate and dedicated attitude towards helping others
  • A genuine interest in working in the disability support field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients, as well as communicate effectively with staff and management
  • Experience in providing person-centred care and/or currently studying Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Community Services, or related fields
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • A strong commitment to uphold the mission and culture of EmpwrU by cultivating an environment of respect, resilience, and decency

You bring:

  • Emotional intelligence and a calm, professional presence
  • A genuine interest in people, purpose, and personal growth
  • Initiative and strong communication skills
  • A problem-solving mindset with a dash of creativity
  • Curiosity, integrity, and the courage to do what's right
  • Respect for diversity and the ability to build rapport with anyone

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality, safe, and consistent support that aligns with each participant's NDIS goals
  • Support clients with daily living tasks, community engagement, personal development, and recreation
  • Foster independence, choice, and control in everything you do
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders
  • Provide clear communication and real-time updates to the coordination team
  • Work collaboratively with other support workers to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and incident reporting
  • Uphold and model EmpwrU's values in every interaction

Essential Requirements

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)*
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Australian Driver's Licence + reliable and insured vehicle
  • National Police Clearance
  • Infection Prevention and Control Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Prior experience in disability support (preferred but not essential)

What You'll Experience at EmpwrU

  • A values-led team that's got your back
  • Strong training, mentoring, and career development
  • Genuine appreciation and recognition for your work
  • A chance to shape the future of what disability support should feel like
  • Work that matters, relationships that last, and stories worth sharing

Live Our Culture

  • Be present. Be curious. Be kind.
  • Create joyful moments
  • Be a good human
  • Improve one thing every day—for yourself and for someone else

This is more than a job. It's a legacy in the making.

If you're ready to show up, make an impact, and be part of something real, we'd love to hear from you.

Please give us a call on on:

  • Monday 18th between 1-3pm OR
  • Tuesday 19th between 9-11am

*Please note that all successful applicants will be required to obtain an NDIS WORKER CHECK and provide references before commencing work.
