Marsh is seeking a skilled Claims Consultant to join our NSW Public Sector claims team based in the Sydney CBD office.
This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services to Statewide Mutual Scheme Members. You will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients, with a focus on liability claims.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end management of a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Property, Councilors, and Officers claims
- Accurate reserving, claims investigation, managing claims costs, and negotiating with third parties
- Building and maintaining rapport with clients on both claims and in educational presentations
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers

- Must have experience in Public Liability and Casualty claims
- Ability to prioritize and organize

- Extensive knowledge and 3-5 years' experience in Public Liability and Casualty claims
- Tertiary qualifications in Law or Business/Commerce will be well regarded
- Knowledge of the Civil Liability Act and common law principles will be well regarded
- Previous experience working with Local Government will be well regarded
