Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and implement our cloud-based data platform architecture, aligning with our strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing our data capabilities across processes, systems, and people to meet current demands and future aspirations.

The ideal candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of how data creates business value, combined with deep technical expertise in modern data architectures. They will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-scale data architecture solutions, analysing business requirements, and translating them into technical data solutions.

This role reports to the Chapter Lead – Platform Architecture and collaborates closely with various teams. You will be at the intersection of data strategy and technical implementation, ensuring that architectural decisions support our broader data vision while providing practical, scalable solutions for the entire organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of data management systems, practices, and standards
  • Strong data modelling, data architecture, and analytical skills
  • Expert SQL proficiency, including performance optimisation and tuning
  • Technical expertise in modern data technologies including cloud data platforms (AWS), AI and advanced analytics capabilities, Big data processing frameworks, and Data quality and governance tools
  • Experience with semantic models, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and/or data virtualisation
