Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in remote sensing and vegetation ecology, including leading research and overseeing postgraduate and honours students.
- Develop and implement research projects, including designing experiments, collecting and analysing data, and interpreting results.
- Collaborate with investigators at TERN and James Cook University to advance knowledge in remote sensing and vegetation ecology.
- Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and other media.
About the Role
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years. The successful applicant will be based at the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide and will have the opportunity to conduct field work throughout the project.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline and extensive research experience in remote sensing and vegetation ecology.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of remote sensing, statistics/machine learning, and programming analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and lead research teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across disciplines.
- High level organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage workload.
