Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced civil design drafter to join our client, a leading provider of engineering, design and construction services to the aviation industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical drawings services to the engineering department.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled drafter with experience in airport strip design or road pavements/civil design. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting of construction plans including earthworks volume balancing and calculations
  • Provision of aircraft apron parking solutions
  • Drafting Obstacle Limitation Surface plans
  • Drafting line marking and lighting layout plans
Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting software and 12D or AutoDesk Civil 3D earthworks modelling software
  • Experience with AviPlan aircraft movement modelling software
  • Knowledge of other components of AutoDesk Infrastructure Design Suite
  • Diploma in Drafting, Surveying, Engineering or related discipline (not essential)

A competitive salary package including circa $95k-$120k + super + overtime dependent on experience. The successful candidate must be able to pass a full medical and drug and alcohol test and obtain an Aviation security identification card (ASIC).
