About the Role

As the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead a purpose-driven organization and create a positive work environment. You will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and elected members to deliver exceptional customer service to the Council and communities. Your key responsibilities will include implementing the Council's mission, vision, values, policies, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services
  • Provide high-level advice to the Council and its committees on financial risk, people management, services, disaster management, and organizational continuity
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government, industry, and community groups
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Chief Executive Officer, Director, or in a similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of governance, financial management, employee management, continuous improvement, and community development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and representation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and build strong relationships
