Pump Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pump Fitter to join our team in Australia. As a Pump Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing pumps and pumping equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ fault finding methodology for pumps repair
  • Stripping and survey pumping equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition in accordance with QA procedures
  • Carrying out pressure testing of pumps to ensure functioning correctly
  • Rebuild pumping equipment in accordance with applicable pump standards
  • Support and encourage personnel development through organized training regimes

Requirements:

  • Experience in engineered pumps
  • Experience in steam and gas and turbine
  • Work experience or expressed interest in rotating equipment
  • Dedication to working in a safe manner always
  • Trade Certificate III Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
