Position Overview
Our Property & Infrastructure division in Adelaide provides a full spectrum of town planning services for both public and private sectors. Our dedicated town planning team has been instrumental in significant planning projects at strategic, policy, and development application levels, currently engaged in several key initiatives across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

We are currently seeking a Town Planner to enhance our Adelaide office's capabilities and expertise. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and skilled town planner eager to advance their career within a successful and largely independent team. A primary focus of this role will involve assisting clients and internal teams with the updated planning framework, offering specialized and professional guidance for the advancement of development applications, code modifications, and strategic planning endeavors.

Key Responsibilities
This dynamic role demands well-honed technical skills and experience, coupled with a strong commitment to project delivery and customer service. Business development will be a significant aspect of this position, with the successful applicant expected to possess the necessary acumen and interest in this field.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning; preference will be given to candidates with an honours degree.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in town planning.
  • Proficiency in areas such as development application facilitation, strategic and policy planning, social infrastructure assessment, and community engagement.
  • Strong research, analytical, and report writing skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Membership or eligibility for full membership in the Planning Institute of Australia.
