We are seeking a passionate Teacher to join our team at Y Schools Queensland - Senior Redlands Campus, located in Victoria Point, QLD.

About the Role:

  • This is a Permanent Full-Time position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals and society.
  • You will be responsible for delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students in Science and HPE, as well as supporting the delivery of vocational training programs.
  • Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner focused, safe, supportive and aligned to the curriculum.
  • Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning.
  • Support our young people with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness.

About You:

  • Hold a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration, First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications.
  • Experience in Science and HPE teaching.
  • Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education.
