Senior Operations Manager - Construction

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations Manager to oversee daily business activities.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, loves organisation, and feels confident managing the overall day-to-day operations of a fast-paced construction project.

Position Purpose

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency across all projects. This includes overseeing business operations management, implementing systems, processes, and procedures to improve workflow and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Operations Management: Oversee daily business activities to ensure operational efficiency across all construction projects.
  • Implement and maintain systems, processes, and procedures to improve workflow and productivity.
  • Monitor project profitability, cost control, and budgets.
  • Office Administration: Oversee the administration office and correspondence.
  • Provide ongoing training to the team.
  • Create, maintain, and update the company's procedures.
  • People & Culture: Provide support to managers and staff.
  • Monitor staff performance review processes and assist in professional development planning.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Strategic Contribution: Identify opportunities for business improvement and cost savings.
  • Support the leadership team with strategic planning and business development activities.
  • Track KPIs and prepare performance reports for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of construction industry operations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial literacy and experience with budgeting and reporting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
