About this leadership role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead a team of direct reporting managers and oversee a broader team in managing leased-in properties from the private sector for the department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing approximately 1,000 leased-in properties, developing and growing a commercial property portfolio, and ensuring compliance with government land policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing contracts with third-party providers;
  • Developing and implementing leasing strategies;
  • Leading a team through change and navigating system enhancements;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Property, Valuations or Project Management;
  • Strong background in property and lease management, including contract management;
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team through change;
  • Knowledge of leasing/licensing activities;
  • Professionalism, resilience, and exceptional communication abilities.
