About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead electrical work on a 6.7kms light rail extension project.

As part of our team, you'll oversee construction activities, ensuring projects align with plans and specifications.

The successful candidate will have expertise in LV works and commercial acumen, making informed decisions that drive results.

This is an opportunity to leverage your leadership skills, working closely with the Area Manager and managing site construction budgets.

Key responsibilities include coordinating engineering tasks, monitoring progress against program deadlines, and executing contractual obligations.

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is essential, along with 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Leadership ability, financial management skills, and strong time management are key requirements for this position.

About the Project

This exciting project extends the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, featuring eight new stations, two bus connections, and intersection upgrades.

The project requires a skilled engineer with expertise in LV works, focusing on electrical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  2. Assist with site construction budgets and reports.
  3. Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Area Manager.
  4. Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  5. Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  6. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  7. Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
  8. Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  9. Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  10. Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  11. Utilize effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management.
