">Description of Role

The Financial Restructuring Group is expanding and we are looking for an experienced professional to be based in our Sydney office. The team works specifically with clients on a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Advise companies and stakeholders in informal and formal restructuring transactions
  • Provide distressed M&A advisory
  • Advisory in relation to debt and equity raising in the context of complex, stressed and distressed situations
  • Provide advisory services in stressed and distressed situations
  • Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of clients

Professionals work closely with senior-level professionals and clients in a results-driven and entrepreneurial environment that rewards top performers with substantial responsibility.

">Requirements/Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong academic track record
  • A genuine interest in Financial Restructuring and/or in working on complex and large financial transactions
  • Up to 3 years' experience within Financial Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or Insolvency
  • An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
  • Comprehension of key debt related components and structures
  • Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills, commensurate with experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • An exceptional strong work ethic
