Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.

As a Support Specialist, you will be part of a community that connects people with disabilities and their families with local support workers who share their interests and values.

Key Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Support Specialist will be set and agreed by the person you support or their family.

You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop personalized support plans to meet their goals.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Supporting clients with mental health needs
  • Accompanying clients on outings and activities
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A valid NDIS Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
  • National police check (issued within the last 24 months)
  • First Aid certificate
  • Unrestricted Australian driver's licence if providing transport

Experience in aged care, mental health support, personal care assistance, residential support work, community support work, social work, youth work, and nursing is highly regarded.
