Job Description

A unique opportunity exists to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of young rowers and drive excellence throughout all phases of the rowing program.

The Rowing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the rowing program effectively incorporates student development, focusing on supporting students within the program in developing skills, competencies, and capacities in the social and emotional domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend land and water training sessions for allocated squads during Terms 1, 3, and 4.
  • Attend all camps, regattas, and boat unloading for allocated squads.
  • Attend the Australian Rowing Championships if coaching a crew attending.
  • Provide mentoring and support for volunteer coaches executing the prescribed technical model and training program.
  • Collate data (ergos and technical evaluations).
  • Provide recommendations to the Head of Rowing regarding crew selections for allocated squads.
  • E nsure all safety requirements are followed and adhered to.
  • Attend rowing staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain all coaching and rowing equipment.
  • Coach an allocated crew at the discretion of the Head of Rowing.
