Exceptional Culinary Expert at Care Facility

We pride ourselves on being one of Western Australia's leading aged care providers, delivering personalized care that keeps residents connected to the people and places they cherish.

Across the state, we are dedicated to offering exceptional care, accommodation, and support services for older Western Australians. This role primarily involves preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to our residents' dietary needs.

You will also supervise a team of catering staff, ensuring all meals are prepared with exceptional quality and safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and dedicated to positively impacting the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities may vary based on operational needs.

The successful candidate must be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality, nourishing meals for residents
  • Ensuring adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Managing stock control, replenishing, and ordering as needed
  • Complying with Occupational Safety and Health standards
  • Supervising and providing direction to Kitchen Hands
  • Delivering meals to clients in the Hopetoun area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef in large-scale meal production
  • Experience in production environments
  • Basic knowledge of dietary nutrition for elderly residents
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid Australian driver's license
