This is a casual position to cover planned and unplanned leave.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Crafting and preparing nourishing meals that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Managing stock control, replenishing, and ordering as needed
  • Complying with established standards for occupational safety and health
  • Supervising and guiding Kitchen Assistants

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant Certificate or higher in commercial cookery or hospitality
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale meal production
  • Experience in production environments
  • Broad knowledge of nutritional principles for seniors
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control effectively
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
