The role of Chief Executive Officer at our organisation plays a pivotal part in shaping its future. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation remains true to its core values and vision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strengthening the organisation's operational capability and financial stability
  • Ensuring all activities align with best practice business planning and risk management principles

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the political and policy environment impacting Traditional Owners in Victoria, as well as the ability to promote their rights and aspirations effectively.

A successful candidate will demonstrate proven skills in leading teams and building relationships across government and community, sound governance and management practices within Aboriginal organisations, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The Chief Executive Officer will work closely with the Board to deliver strong governance, maintain high-level relationships with government and other agencies, and foster an organisational culture of integrity, teamwork, and respect.

About the organisation:

We are a Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) for Country in Northwest Victoria and act as the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for native title holders.

We are dedicated to advancing the rights, interests, and aspirations of Traditional Owners of the Millewa-Mallee region.
