As a Sushi Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of take-away/pre-packed sushi items, including rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese-inspired dishes. Ensuring the highest quality and presentation for take-away is essential in this role.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards in the sushi kitchen area, adhering to all food safety regulations. You will also engage with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any inquiries about the sushi products.

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing visually appealing and high-quality sushi. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as well as the ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a busy environment.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience as a Sushi Team Member or in a similar role within a fast-paced Supermarket environment.
  • Expertise in sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and an understanding of Japanese cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
