We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Regional Southern NSW.

Job Overview

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a healthcare organization to find a dedicated Speech Pathologist for a 12-week contract.

This opportunity allows you to provide comprehensive speech pathology services across various clinical areas within a hospital and community settings.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Services: Deliver patient-centered care through assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and implementation. Provide advice and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Professional Standards: Ensure care delivery is within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based practice.
  • Assessment & Treatment: Diagnose and manage patients within your scope of practice. Select and implement appropriate assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring safe and timely discharge. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders, embracing cultural diversity.
  • Documentation & Supervision: Maintain comprehensive documentation of care, including progress notes and care plans. Supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of the team.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth, including mandatory training and participation in evidence-based practice activities.
Qualifications & Experience

You must have a Speech Pathology Bachelor's or Masters Degree, be currently registered with SPA, and possess proven experience in delivering speech pathology services across diverse settings. You should also be able to work independently and seek supervision when needed.

A valid driver's license is required. We encourage applicants committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people and those with cultural competence.

Package

The successful candidate will receive an hourly salary from $45 per hour + superannuation. Additional benefits include a $500 Christmas bonus, accommodation provided, and travel allowance/flight provided interstate for a 12-week contract with the potential for extension.
