Educator for a Child with Complex Needs

The role of the Nanny Educator involves caring for a four year old child with complex needs, providing a basic routine and focusing on developmentally appropriate activities to foster and expand the child's milestones.
The ideal candidate will have obtained or be working towards a Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state. They should also have at least 3 professional references and possess WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid qualifications.
In addition, the successful applicant must have a car and driver's licence, be willing to commit for at least 12 months, and hold full working rights in Australia.
The family would like the Educator to focus on activities that the child enjoys, such as music, vibrating toys and walks to the park. Equipment and training will be provided to assist with lifting of the child.
- Care and Developmental Activities: Develop and implement a daily routine that caters to the child's needs and interests
- Engagement and Learning: Plan and participate in activities that promote the child's physical, emotional and cognitive development
- Progress Monitoring and Communication: Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and communicate effectively with the family
