The Australian Public Service Commission is seeking a highly skilled Governance Coordinator to join our team. As a Governance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Regulatory Oversight Division's governance committee requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Corporate Reporting: Coordinate and manage divisional corporate performance reporting requirements, including annual reports, corporate reports, and input into various Executive and Board Governance Committees.
- Regulatory Oversight: Maintain the divisional oversight calendar and tasks to ensure the division meets all governance reporting requirements and timeframes.
- Secretariat and Administrative Duties: Provide secretariat and administrative duties to support, coordinate, and facilitate the monthly Regulatory Oversight Management Meetings.
- Flying Currency and Training Program: Coordinate and support the Flying Currency and Training program across the Australian Public Service Commission, including planning, reporting, financial, and procurement management of flying training undertaken by staff.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance of Regulatory Oversight Division processes and manage the update of the division's intranet page.
- Workplace Safety and Equity: Promote workplace safety, equity, and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace, and act in accordance with the Australian Public Service Commission's values and behaviours.
- High-Level Communication Skills: Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise, engage, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report Preparation: Demonstrated experience in preparing draft reports, briefing papers, correspondence, and discussion papers for review by Executive level employees.
- Problem-Solving Skills: High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement procedures, improve processes, provide flexible solutions, and achieve results.
- Liaising and Negotiating: Demonstrated experience in liaising and negotiating with senior levels of management.
- Knowledge of CASA's Strategic Direction: Knowledge of or ability to acquire an understanding of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's strategic direction, its vision, and goals.
- Australian Citizenship: Must be an Australian citizen.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Undergo pre-employment screening, including a Police Check.
