About the Role

The Australian Public Service Commission is seeking a highly skilled Governance Coordinator to join our team. As a Governance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Regulatory Oversight Division's governance committee requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Corporate Reporting: Coordinate and manage divisional corporate performance reporting requirements, including annual reports, corporate reports, and input into various Executive and Board Governance Committees.
  2. Regulatory Oversight: Maintain the divisional oversight calendar and tasks to ensure the division meets all governance reporting requirements and timeframes.
  3. Secretariat and Administrative Duties: Provide secretariat and administrative duties to support, coordinate, and facilitate the monthly Regulatory Oversight Management Meetings.
  4. Flying Currency and Training Program: Coordinate and support the Flying Currency and Training program across the Australian Public Service Commission, including planning, reporting, financial, and procurement management of flying training undertaken by staff.
  5. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance of Regulatory Oversight Division processes and manage the update of the division's intranet page.
  6. Workplace Safety and Equity: Promote workplace safety, equity, and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace, and act in accordance with the Australian Public Service Commission's values and behaviours.
Requirements
  1. High-Level Communication Skills: Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise, engage, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Report Preparation: Demonstrated experience in preparing draft reports, briefing papers, correspondence, and discussion papers for review by Executive level employees.
  3. Problem-Solving Skills: High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement procedures, improve processes, provide flexible solutions, and achieve results.
  4. Liaising and Negotiating: Demonstrated experience in liaising and negotiating with senior levels of management.
  5. Knowledge of CASA's Strategic Direction: Knowledge of or ability to acquire an understanding of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's strategic direction, its vision, and goals.
Eligibility Requirements
  1. Australian Citizenship: Must be an Australian citizen.
  2. Pre-Employment Screening: Undergo pre-employment screening, including a Police Check.
