Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Officer to join our Procurement team at Ipswich City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing tender and contract activities, ensuring legislative compliance and delivering goods and services to council business areas and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake procurement activities to deliver goods and services to council business areas and the wider community
  • Provide internal advice and strategy in relation to contracting approaches
  • Facilitate forward planning with key stakeholders to ensure goods and services are delivered on time and on budget
  • Undertake research to help identify and drive better value, efficiencies, and practice improvements
Requirements:
  • A passion for working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Five or more years active experience in a similar role, preferably in a public sector capacity
  • The ability to be resilient, solutions-focussed, and capable of developing solid working relationships with key stakeholders across council
  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
What We Offer:

This is a permanent full-time position, Level 5 with a salary commencing at $93,169 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%. The role offers a positive workplace culture, work/life balance, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, health and well-being, and leave options.
